A Canvas app is an app created in the Microsoft Power Platform with minimal effort and following low code disciplines. Canvas apps can be device or browser based and work pretty much on any platform. A basic canvas app can be created with mostly dragging and dropping elements in make.powerapps.com.

How ever Low-Code doesn’t mean no-code. The language used in Canvas apps is called PowerFX. It is a formulated language that through the years has evolve to accommodate most of the capabilities of full stack developing language. The way of developing though for a Canvas app significantly differs from old traditional coding disciplines. It is actually so different that a full stack developer may find it tricky to adopt.
